Resources and Links for Al's Audio Workshop

This page is intended to accompany an instatiation of Al's Audio workshop, which has occurred in classes like Intro to Interactive Media and Digital Audio Production, workshops like Artech and NYSCATE, or guest presentations to other classes or audiences.

The activity in many of the workshops is the creation of a ringtone, which is a small, constrained audio production task. I use Audacity in these workshops because it is open source (free), multi-platform, robust and intuitive. It is an audio editor, rather than a full-fledged digital audio workstation (DAW), but that's a good thing if you're just beginning to work with audio.
