
The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is world-wide event in which EVERYONE can participate to create a game rallying around a particular theme. All participants own their work (subject to sharing).

Based on computer resources, we can host about 50 people in the Game & Development Lab (discussed below). Participants are welcome to bring their own laptops. Team sizes? We anticipate team sizes ranging from 3-5 people.

Interactive Games & Media (IGM) at Rochester Institute of Technology is currently the only host for the Global Game Jam in the Rochester, NY region. IGM is part of the B. Thomas Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences in Building 70. We'll be in our computing labs, starting in the Game Design & Development Lab (Room 2025, the "back half" of the GDD Lab, just above the atrium on the 2nd floor).

Each Year, IGM hosts a local node of the Global Game Jam on-campus. This year's details are under construction. Last year, we hosted the event in the Game Design & Development Laboratory, and plan to do so again this year.
